Biography

Jason Schwartzman is an American actor and musician. He made his film debut in Wes Anderson's Rushmore (1998) and has since appeared in six other Anderson films: The Darjeeling Limited (2007), for which he also received a co-writing credit, Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), Moonrise Kingdom (2012), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), The French Dispatch (2021) and Asteroid City (2023).

He is also known for his role as Gideon Graves in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and voicing the Spot in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). His other film credits include The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023) as Lucky Flickerman, Queer (2024) as Joe Guidry and Megalopolis (2024) as Jason Zanderz. On television he starred in Bored to Death (2009–2011), appeared in the fourth season of Fargo (2020) and was an executive producer on and acted in Mozart in the Jungle (2014–2018). As a musician he was the drummer in the band Phantom Planet and has released three albums under the solo project Coconut Records. He is a member of the Coppola family.
