Biography

Jeremy Dawson is a Canadian-American film producer and visual effects artist. He grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1993 with an MFA in Photography and Related Media.

Dawson began his career designing title sequences and working on visual effects for films including Pi (1998), Requiem for a Dream (2000) and The Fountain (2006). He has collaborated extensively with Wes Anderson, producing The Darjeeling Limited (2007), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), Moonrise Kingdom (2012), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Isle of Dogs (2018), The French Dispatch (2021) and Asteroid City (2023). He also produced The Whale (2022) and the 2025 films Caught Stealing and The Phoenician Scheme.

He received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture for The Grand Budapest Hotel and Best Animated Feature for Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Grand Budapest Hotel.
