Biography
Mark Ervin is an American animator and director. He trained at CalArts and began working in animation on The Simpsons in 1990 as a background artist for the show's second season. He later served as a character layout artist, storyboard artist, assistant director and director on the series, contributing to 160 episodes through 2012 and to The Simpsons Movie (2007).
Ervin directed three episodes of The Simpsons between 1998 and 1999. He also directed six episodes of Futurama from 1999 to 2002. His other credits include storyboard work on Rugrats, Disenchantment and Krapopolis, as well as layout and timing roles on series such as Duckman and The Critic.
