Biography

Mark Verheiden is an American writer for television, film and comics. Born on 26 March 1956 in Portland, he began writing comics in 1987 with The American for Dark Horse Comics and later contributed to Aliens and Predator series.

His film credits include the screenplay for Timecop (1994) and the story for The Mask (1994). On television, Verheiden wrote nine episodes of Battlestar Galactica (2004) as writer and co-executive producer. He has also written for Smallville (2001), Heroes (2006), Falling Skies (2011), Daredevil (2015) and Swamp Thing (2019), and served as producer on several of these series.
