Biography
Mary Field (also credited as Mary Fields and Olivia Rockefeller) was an American actress who appeared primarily in supporting and uncredited roles. Born in New York City on 10 June 1909, she was abandoned as an infant and later adopted. She signed with Warner Bros. in 1937 and made her film debut in The Prince and the Pauper that year.
Over a career spanning 1937 to 1963, Field appeared in approximately 103 films, including Jezebel (1938), Ball of Fire (1941), How Green Was My Valley (1941), Mrs. Miniver (1942), Song of the South (1946), Out of the Past (1947) as Marny, Miracle on 34th Street (1947) and Dark Passage (1947). Her television credits include episodes of Gunsmoke, Wagon Train and The Loretta Young Show, with her final role as a nun in the series Going My Way (1962–1963).
