Biography
Meredith Stiehm is an American television writer and producer. She began her career writing for Northern Exposure (1990) in 1994 and later contributed to Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990). She wrote for NYPD Blue (1993) over four seasons and for ER (1994) for two seasons.
Stiehm created the CBS series Cold Case (2003), which ran for seven seasons, and co-created the FX series The Bridge (2013). She served as a writer and executive producer on Homeland (2011) for five seasons. She has been president of the Writers Guild of America West since 2021. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English and playwriting.
