Biography
Michael Ensign (born 13 February 1944) is an American actor. He was born in Safford, Arizona, and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He spent his early career in British theatre, including a period as a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1972 to 1975, and appeared in London productions such as the musical Irene (1978).
Ensign's screen work has been primarily in the United States. His film credits include Midnight Express (1978), Superman (1978), WarGames (1983), Ghostbusters (1984), Titanic (1997) as Benjamin Guggenheim, and Solaris (2002). Television appearances include episodes of Friends, The X-Files, Star Trek: The Next Generation and NCIS. In 2009 he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Utah.
