Biography
Naren Shankar is an American television writer, producer and director. He holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics and electrical engineering from Cornell University.
He began his career as a science consultant and writer on Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1992, later contributing scripts to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (including the 1993 teleplay for 'Babel') and Star Trek: Voyager. He went on to write and produce for series including Farscape, The Outer Limits, Grimm and Almost Human.
Shankar served as co-showrunner on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000) and The Expanse (2015–2022), and has written for For All Mankind (2019). He has received Emmy nominations for outstanding drama series.
