Biography
Nelson Cragg is an American cinematographer and director. Born on 7 April 1978 in Fairfax, Virginia, he studied English literature at James Madison University before earning an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California.
He began working as a director of photography in 2002 and has served in that role on series including Breaking Bad (2008), Homeland (2011–2012), Elementary (2012), American Horror Story (2011) and American Crime Story (2016). He received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his cinematography on Homeland and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Cragg has also directed episodes of series such as American Horror Story, Pose, Ratched, The Boys and Gen V, and served as executive producer and director on the Amazon series Them (2021).
