Biography
Nicholas Wootton is an American television writer and producer. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dramatic Writing in 1994.
He began his career working with Steven Bochco and wrote for NYPD Blue (1993), serving as story editor, executive story editor and later executive producer; in 1998 he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for the episode “Lost Israel”. He has also written episodes of Law & Order (1990), Chuck (2007) and Prison Break (2005), and created the series Golden Boy (2013), Blind Justice (2005) and Neagley (2026).
Wootton has been executive producer or showrunner on Scorpion (2014), Stumptown (2019) and The Endgame (2022).
