Biography
Patrick M. Sullivan Jr. is an American production designer and art director. Born on 11 November 1967 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he trained in architecture before moving to California to work in film.
He began in the art department as a set designer on films including Men in Black (1997) and Twister (1996). He later served as art director on Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), Changeling (2008) and Beautiful Boy (2018), and as supervising art director on Divergent (2014) and Independence Day: Resurgence (2016). As production designer his credits include Gerald's Game (2017), Brightburn (2019), Reptile (2023), Música (2024) and Twisters (2024).
Sullivan won a Primetime Emmy for art direction on the television film Behind the Candelabra (2013). He has received multiple Art Directors Guild nominations and wins, and three Academy Award nominations for his work.
