Biography
Rick Berman, also credited as Richard Keith Berman, is an American television producer and screenwriter. He was born on 25 December 1945 in New York City and studied English and film production at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Berman joined the Star Trek franchise in 1987, working on Star Trek: The Next Generation before succeeding Gene Roddenberry as its head. He served as executive producer on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993–1999), Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001) and Star Trek: Enterprise (2001–2005), which he co-created. He produced and received story credit on the feature films Star Trek: Generations (1994), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).
