Biography
Robert Picardo is an American actor born on 27 October 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied drama at Yale University and made his Broadway debut in the comedy Gemini in 1977.
He is best known for playing the Emergency Medical Hologram, known as The Doctor, in the series Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001) and reprising the role in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (2026). Other television credits include Coach Cutlip in The Wonder Years (1988–1993), for which he received an Emmy nomination, Dr Dick Richards in China Beach (1988–1991), and Richard Woolsey in the Stargate franchise.
His film work includes voice roles in Total Recall (1990) and appearances in Innerspace (1987) and Hail, Caesar! (2016).
