Biography

Tom Verica is an American actor and director. Born on 13 May 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he began his career in theatre, appearing on Broadway in Prelude to a Kiss. He later moved into television acting, with roles including Jack Pryor in the NBC series American Dreams (2002–2005) and Sam Keating in the ABC series How to Get Away with Murder (2014–2020). Film appearances include Die Hard 2 (1990), Red Dragon (2002) and Zodiac (2007).

Verica began directing in 2003. He has directed episodes of Boston Legal (2007–2008), Grey's Anatomy (2007–2011), Scandal (2012–2018, where he also served as executive producer) and Bridgerton (from 2020, where he is executive producer and director). He has also directed episodes of The Umbrella Academy and The Mentalist.
