Biography
Virginia Brissac was an American actress. She had a thirty-year career on the West Coast stage, heading stock companies and appearing in San Diego with a company she managed with her then husband John Griffith Wray.
She moved into film in the 1930s and worked in character roles until 1955. Her credits include Martha in Dark Victory (1939), Mrs. Hewitt in The Little Foxes (1941), Mrs. Phillips in Shadow of a Doubt (1943) and Jim's grandmother in Rebel Without a Cause (1955). She also appeared in television, including an episode of I Love Lucy (1954). She died in 1979.
