Biography

Zach Staenberg is an American film editor. He edited the Wachowskis' debut feature Bound (1996) and went on to edit their Matrix trilogy (The Matrix in 1999, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions in 2003).

Staenberg won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for The Matrix (1999) and two American Cinema Editors Eddie Awards, one for The Matrix and one for the HBO film Gotti (1996), for which he was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. He has collaborated extensively with the Wachowskis and with director Andrew Niccol.
