Biography
April Ferry (born April Cecilia Gaskins) was an American costume designer. She began her career as a Broadway dancer in the original production of Kismet before moving into costume work in the late 1960s after her divorce, becoming a full designer with The Big Chill (1983).
Ferry received an Academy Award nomination for Maverick (1994) and won a Primetime Emmy Award for the HBO series Rome (2005–2007). Her credits include Donnie Darko (2001), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Elysium (2013), RoboCop (2014), Jurassic World (2015) and season six of Game of Thrones (2016). She received the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2014. Ferry died on 11 January 2024, aged 91.
