Biography
Chris Parnell is an American actor and comedian. Born Thomas Christopher Parnell on 5 February 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee, he trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he earned a BFA in drama. He began his career performing with the Los Angeles comedy troupe The Groundlings before joining the cast of Saturday Night Live as a featured player in 1998 and becoming a repertory player the following season; he remained until 2006.
Parnell is known for his recurring role as Dr. Leo Spaceman on the television series 30 Rock and for voice work as Cyril Figgis on Archer and Jerry Smith on Rick and Morty. His film credits include Garth Holliday in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Mayor Tracy in Slice (2018) and Conductor Davenport in Stop! That! Train! (2026).
