Biography
Daniel Kaluuya is an English actor. Born in London on 24 February 1989, he began his career writing for the television series Skins and appeared in stage productions before transitioning to screen roles.
He gained wider recognition for his performance in the Black Mirror episode 'Fifteen Million Merits' and supporting parts in films including Sicario (2015). His breakthrough came with the lead role of Chris Washington in Jordan Peele's Get Out (2017), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Kaluuya has since starred in Black Panther (2018), Queen & Slim (2019), Nope (2022) and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the latter. He voiced Hobie Brown in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
