Biography
Eric Roth is an American screenwriter. He was born on 22 March 1945 in New York City and studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
Roth won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Forrest Gump (1994). He received further nominations in the same category for The Insider (1999), Munich (2005), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), A Star Is Born (2018) and Dune (2021). His other credits include Ali (2001), Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011), Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) and Here (2024).
