Biography
Garret Dillahunt is an American actor born on 24 November 1964 in Castro Valley, California. He studied journalism at the University of Washington and earned an MFA in acting from New York University. He began his career in theatre, appearing in productions on and off Broadway.
Dillahunt is known for his television work, including two roles on the HBO series Deadwood (2004–2006) as Jack McCall and Francis Wolcott, Burt Chance on the Fox sitcom Raising Hope (2010–2014), for which he received a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination, and John Dorie on Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2021). He also starred in the Amazon series Hand of God (2014–2017). In film, he has appeared in supporting roles in No Country for Old Men (2007), Looper (2012) and 12 Years a Slave (2013).
In 2026 he joined the cast of the HBO series Lanterns as William 'Will' Macon.
