Biography
Jed Kurzel is an Australian film composer, singer-songwriter and guitarist. Born in 1976 in Gawler, South Australia, he is a founding member of the blues rock duo The Mess Hall, formed in 2001.
Kurzel began scoring feature films with Snowtown (2011), directed by his older brother Justin Kurzel. He has since composed for The Babadook (2014), Slow West (2015), Macbeth (2015), Alien: Covenant (2017), Overlord (2018), Monkey Man (2024) and The Order (2024). He has won multiple APRA Screen Music Awards for feature film scores.
