Biography
Jerry Weintraub (1937–2015) was an American film producer, talent manager and actor. He began his career as a talent agent and concert promoter, managing artists including John Denver, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, and organising large-scale arena tours.
He moved into film production in the 1970s. His credits include Robert Altman's Nashville (1975), Barry Levinson's Diner (1982), the first five Karate Kid films (1984–1994) and the Ocean's trilogy: Ocean's Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007). He also served as executive producer on Behind the Candelabra (2013).
Weintraub received three Primetime Emmy Awards for his television work and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1984.
