Biography

Matt Damon is an American actor, producer and screenwriter. He made his film debut in Mystic Pizza (1988) and achieved breakthrough success with Good Will Hunting (1997), which he co-wrote with Ben Affleck; the pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

He is known for playing Linus Caldwell in Ocean's Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), Mark Whitacre in The Informant! (2009), Scott Thorson in Behind the Candelabra (2013), Sonny Vaccaro in Air (2023, which he also produced), Leslie Groves in Oppenheimer (2023), Senator Gary Channel in Drive-Away Dolls (2024) and Odysseus in The Odyssey (2026).
