Biography

George Timothy Clooney is an American actor and filmmaker. He was born on 6 May 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky. He gained recognition for his role as Dr Doug Ross in the television series ER from 1994 to 1999.

Clooney established himself in film with roles including Danny Ocean in Ocean's Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), Jack Foley in Out of Sight (1998), and Chris Kelvin in Solaris (2002). He played Jay Kelly in the 2025 film Jay Kelly. He has also appeared in The Good German (2006).

Clooney has directed feature films including Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) and Good Night, and Good Luck (2005). He received Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Syriana (2005) and Best Picture as producer of Argo (2012), along with several Golden Globe Awards.
