Biography
Jim Miller is an American film editor. He began his career editing television commercials and industrial films in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles. His first screen credit was as associate editor on The Breakfast Club (1985), working with Dede Allen.
Miller's early feature credits were often co-edited with Allen, including The Milagro Beanfield War (1988) and Let It Ride (1989). He then collaborated extensively with director Barry Sonnenfeld, editing The Addams Family (1991), Addams Family Values (1993), Get Shorty (1995), Men in Black (1997) and Wild Wild West (1999). Other credits include 2 Days in the Valley (1996), Agent Cody Banks (2003) and Collateral (2004).
For Collateral, Miller shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing with Paul Rubell; the pair also received nominations for an ACE Eddie Award and a BAFTA Award, and won a Satellite Award.
