Biography

Josef Altin is a British actor born on 12 February 1983 in London to a Turkish family. His earliest television roles included Garry in the series Psychos and a machine strimmer in Blackpool (2004). He has appeared on The Bill in multiple roles, including Jay Henderson (2006–2007) and Peter Balmaine (2009).

Altin played Ekrem in the film Eastern Promises (2007) and Pypar in the television series Game of Thrones (2011–2014). Other film roles include Bully in Boy A (2007), a convict in Les Misérables (2012), and Alexander in Child 44 (2015). He has also appeared in Peaky Blinders (2013) as Stefan Radischevsky, Tomb Raider (2018) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

On stage, Altin starred in D.C. Moore's The Empire at the Royal Court Theatre in London. Additional television credits include Peep Show, Casualty, Misfits and Harlots.
