Biography

Juliette Welfling is a French film editor. She began working as an assistant editor and received her first editing credit on Jacques Audiard’s directorial debut See How They Fall (1994). She has since edited every one of his feature films.

Welfling is known for her work on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007), A Prophet (2009), Rust and Bone (2012), The Sisters Brothers (2018) and Emilia Pérez (2024), as well as The Hunger Games (2012) and Ocean’s Eight (2018). She has received César Awards for Best Editing for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and four Audiard films. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Emilia Pérez.
