Biography
Kanju Yagi was a Japanese sculptor and modeler. With his brother Yasuei, he formed the Yagi Brothers and contributed to the creation of monster suits for Toho tokusatsu films beginning with Godzilla (1954).
Their work included modeling on Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964), Gamera, the Giant Monster (1965) and Frankenstein vs. Baragon (1965). Kanju Yagi died in 1966; Yasuei continued the work on later productions.
