Biography
Yasuei Yagi, also credited as Yagi Yasuei, was a Japanese sculptor and modeler. With his brother Kanju Yagi, he formed the Yagi Brothers and contributed to the construction of monster suits for Toho's tokusatsu films.
Their work began with Godzilla (1954) and continued on titles including Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964), Son of Godzilla (1967) and All Monsters Attack (1969). Some databases credit them with costume design on these productions.
Following Kanju's death in 1966, Yasuei worked alone on later films such as Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966), Destroy All Monsters (1968) and Space Amoeba (1970).
