Biography

Kirk Baxter is an Australian film editor born in 1972 in Sydney. He has frequently collaborated with director David Fincher, often working alongside editor Angus Wall.

Baxter shared Academy Awards for Best Film Editing on The Social Network (2010) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). His other credits with Fincher include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Gone Girl (2014), Mank (2020) and The Killer (2023), as well as episodes of the series House of Cards (2013), Mindhunter (2017–2019) and Love, Death & Robots (2019).

He edited Dumb Money (2023) for director Craig Gillespie and A House of Dynamite (2025) for Kathryn Bigelow.
