Biography
Michael Grillo is a film producer and former assistant director. He began his career in the Directors Guild training programme and worked as an assistant director on films including The Deer Hunter (1978), Body Heat (1981) and The Big Chill (1983).
Grillo produced The Accidental Tourist (1988) with Lawrence Kasdan and Charles Okun; the film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. He collaborated frequently with Kasdan on projects such as Silverado (1985) and Wyatt Earp (1994).
From 1996 to 2006 he served as head of feature film production at DreamWorks, overseeing titles including The Peacemaker (1997). He later worked as executive producer on several Marvel Studios films, among them Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Ant-Man (2015), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
