Biography

Noble Willingham was an American actor born in Mineola, Texas, on 31 August 1931. After graduating from North Texas State College in 1953 and earning a master's degree in educational psychology from Baylor University, he worked as a teacher before beginning his acting career in the early 1970s.

He appeared in more than thirty films, including The Last Picture Show (1971), Chinatown (1974), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), City Slickers (1991) as Clay Stone, The Last Boy Scout (1991) and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). On television he played C.D. Parker in Walker, Texas Ranger (1993–1999) and had recurring roles in Home Improvement. He also guest-starred in series such as Quantum Leap and Murder, She Wrote. Willingham ran unsuccessfully as the Republican nominee for Texas's 1st congressional district in 2000. He died in Palm Springs, California, on 17 January 2004.
