Biography
Phil Ford is a British television writer and producer. He has written for Doctor Who (2005), including the 2009 special 'The Waters of Mars' co-written with Russell T Davies, and the 2014 episode 'Into the Dalek' co-written with Steven Moffat. He also wrote the Torchwood (2006) episode 'Something Borrowed' (2008).
Ford served as head writer and co-producer on The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007) from its second series onwards. With Davies he co-created Wizards vs Aliens (2012), which ran for three series. He wrote the majority of the Doctor Who: The Adventure Games video game series and the 2023 Target Books novelisation of 'The Waters of Mars'.
His other credits include episodes of The Bill (1984), Bad Girls (1999) and Coronation Street. He has received a Hugo Award, a Writers' Guild Award and four BAFTA nominations.
