Biography
Richard Baratta is an American film producer and jazz musician. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1950, he initially pursued a career in music before entering the film industry in 1984 as a location manager on Desperately Seeking Susan.
He advanced through roles including unit production manager on films such as the Spider-Man series (2002–2007) and Doctor Strange (2016). As a producer or co-producer, his credits include Across the Universe (2007), The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Joker (2019) and The Irishman (2019). He has also released several jazz albums and received a Grammy nomination.
