Biography

Rodrigo Santoro is a Brazilian actor. He was born on 22 August 1975 in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro.

Santoro began his career in Brazilian television and film before gaining international recognition. His notable roles include Karl in Love Actually (2003), Xerxes in 300 (2007) and 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), Garriga in Focus (2015), and Hector Escaton in the television series Westworld (2016–2022). He also voiced Tulio in the animated films Rio (2011) and Rio 2 (2014), and appeared as Paulo in Lost (2004–2010). In 2026 he played Damian Zaldívar in the film Runner.
