Biography
Roger Barton is an American film editor. He began his career in the 1990s working as an assistant and associate editor before advancing to lead editor on major studio productions.
Barton has edited numerous high-profile action and science-fiction films, including Pearl Harbor (2001), Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), World War Z (2013), Terminator Genisys (2015), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) and A Quiet Place (2018, additional editing). He has frequently collaborated with director Michael Bay.
He is a co-founder of the remote collaboration platform Evercast and served as an editorial creative consultant for Walt Disney Pictures from 2019 to 2025.
