Biography
Rory Taylor is a British cinematographer. He began his professional career in 1997 on the series Insiders and has worked extensively in television drama.
Taylor is best known for his contributions to Doctor Who (2005), where he served as director of photography on numerous episodes from 2006 to 2014, including specials such as The Runaway Bride (2006) and Planet of the Dead (2009). He also worked on Torchwood (2006), shooting five episodes in 2009, as well as episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures. His other credits include Keeping Faith (2017–2019), Hinterland (2015–2016) and Death in Paradise.
In 2002 he won a BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Director of Photography – Drama for his work on the film Eldra and received a nomination for Doctor Who: Silence in the Library.
