Biography

Sean Haworth is an American production designer and former art director. Born in Los Angeles, he was raised in Southern France and returned to the United States to begin working in film in 1982 as an art assistant on Batteries Not Included.

He progressed through roles including set designer and assistant art director on films such as those directed by Dean Tavoularis and Bo Welch, and served as art director on Planet of the Apes (2001). Between 2000 and 2010 he contributed as art director on projects including Avatar (2009), the first two Transformers films and TRON: Legacy (2010). Haworth transitioned to production design in 2011 with The Thing.

His production design credits include Ender's Game (2013), Deadpool (2016), Bumblebee (2018), Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024). He is the son of Academy Award-winning production designer Edward “Ted” Haworth and Anna Wakhévitch.
