Biography
Sharen Davis is an American costume designer. Born on 22 February 1957, she studied acting at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, California. She began her career in wardrobe supervision before moving into design, with early credits including Equinox (1992).
Davis is known for her work on Ray (2004), Dreamgirls (2006), The Help (2011) and Django Unchained (2012). She has collaborated frequently with Denzel Washington. Her designs span period films, musicals, Westerns and science fiction, including Westworld (2016) and Godzilla (2014).
She received Academy Award nominations for Ray and Dreamgirls, an Emmy Award for Watchmen (2020) and the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2022.
