Biography
Sharon Washington is an American actress and playwright. She was born in New York City on 12 September 1960 and has worked extensively in theatre as well as film and television.
Her film credits include Debra Kane in Joker (2019) and its sequel Joker: Folie à Deux (2024). Other film roles encompass Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Michael Clayton (2007), School of Rock (2003) and Sing Sing (2023). On television she has played Joyce Thomas in Power Book III: Raising Kanan (2021–2025).
Washington has received nominations for a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, a Lucille Lortel Award and a Drama League Award for her stage work. She is married to Chuck Schultz.
