Biography
Stuart Cornfeld was an American film producer. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in psychology and from the AFI Conservatory in 1975. While at AFI he met Anne Bancroft, who hired him to produce her film Fatso (1980) and introduced him to her husband Mel Brooks; Cornfeld went on to work as assistant to the producer on High Anxiety (1977) and associate producer on History of the World, Part I (1981), and as executive producer on The Elephant Man (1980).
Cornfeld produced The Fly (1986) and Kafka (1991). From 1999 he was a partner with Ben Stiller at Red Hour Productions, producing films including Zoolander (2001), Starsky & Hutch (2004), DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story (2004), Blades of Glory (2007) and Tropic Thunder (2008). He died on 26 June 2020.
