Biography

Sue Blainey (1963–2024) was an Australian picture editor whose career spanned film and television in Australia and the United States. She began in sound and editorial departments on titles including Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985), Dead Calm (1989), The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), Carlito's Way (1993) and Sliver (1993).

Her later credits as editor include episodes of Six Feet Under (2001–2002), Lost (2004), House (2004), Castle (2009), The Magicians (2015), 11.22.63 (2016) and 13 Reasons Why (2017–2018). She received Primetime Emmy nominations for her work.
