Biography
Theodore Shapiro is an American composer of film and television scores. Born in Washington, D.C., he studied music at Brown University, graduating in 1993, and earned an MFA in composition from the Juilliard School in 1995.
He is known for scores including 13 Going on 30 (2004), The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Tropic Thunder (2008), We're the Millers (2013), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Spy (2015), The Intern (2015), Ghostbusters (2016), Central Intelligence (2016), Trolls Band Together (2023), The Housemaid (2025) and The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026). He has composed for the series Severance (2022–), winning Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series in 2022 and 2025. Shapiro frequently collaborates with directors including Ben Stiller, Paul Feig and David Frankel.
