Biography

Aggie Guerard Rodgers is an American costume designer. She was born on 26 December 1943 in Fresno, California. After earning a master's degree in theatre costume design from California State University, Long Beach, she began her film career as costume designer on American Graffiti (1973).

Rodgers is known for her work on films including The Conversation (1974), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Return of the Jedi (1983, for which she shared a Saturn Award), The Color Purple (1985, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Costume Design), Beetlejuice (1988) and The Fugitive (1993). She has also designed costumes for Rent (2005) and received a Career Achievement Award from the Costume Designers Guild in 2015.
