Biography

Allan Cameron was a British production designer. Born in Oxford on 1 April 1944, he studied at art school in Oxford, the University of Birmingham and the Royal College of Art in London. He began his career designing for television, including series such as Edward and Mrs Simpson (for which he received a BAFTA award) and The Naked Civil Servant.

In the early 1980s he moved into feature films. His credits include Highlander (1986), Starship Troopers (1997), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), Van Helsing (2004), The Da Vinci Code (2006) and Angels & Demons (2009). He also received a joint Art Directors Guild award in 2012 for work on James Bond films. Cameron died in 2017.
