Biography
Brian Kirk is an Irish film and television director and producer. Born in Armagh, Northern Ireland, in 1968, he began directing short films before working on Northern Irish television series including Pulling Moves and Murphy's Law.
He is known for directing episodes of Game of Thrones (2011), Luther (2010), Penny Dreadful (2014), Boardwalk Empire (2010) and Dexter (2006), as well as the feature films 21 Bridges (2019) and Dead of Winter (2025). Kirk has also directed episodes of The Day of the Jackal (2024) and Furious (2026), and served as executive producer on the latter.
