Biography

Carol Spier is a Canadian production designer and art director. She has worked extensively with director David Cronenberg, serving as art director or production designer on films including The Brood (1979), Videodrome (1983), The Fly (1986), Dead Ringers (1988), Naked Lunch (1991), eXistenZ (1999), A History of Violence (2005) and Eastern Promises (2007).

Spier has also collaborated with Guillermo del Toro on Mimic (1997), Blade II (2002) and Pacific Rim (2013). Her television credits include production design on the series Black Mirror (2017). She has received multiple Genie Awards for her work, including wins for Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch and eXistenZ.
