Biography
Christopher Russell Rouse is an American film and television editor and screenwriter. He was born on 28 November 1958 in Los Angeles, California, the son of writer, director and producer Russell Rouse and actress Beverly Michaels. His first feature editing credit was Desperate Hours (1990).
Rouse has collaborated extensively with director Paul Greengrass on six films, beginning with The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and including United 93 (2006), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), Green Zone (2010), Captain Phillips (2013) and Jason Bourne (2016), on which he also received a writing credit. He won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing and the ACE Eddie Award for The Bourne Ultimatum. Other credits include The Italian Job (2003), Eight Below (2006), Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) and IF (2024). He is a member of the American Cinema Editors and received an Emmy nomination for the miniseries Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001).
