Biography

Frank Wilton Marshall (born 13 September 1946) is an American film producer and director. He has frequently collaborated with his wife, producer Kathleen Kennedy, with whom he co-founded Amblin Entertainment alongside Steven Spielberg in 1981. In 1991 they established The Kennedy/Marshall Company; Marshall has been its sole principal since 2012.

Marshall has produced films in the Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Bourne and Jurassic Park franchises, including Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Back to the Future (1985), The Sixth Sense (1999) and Jurassic World (2015). He produced Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), Twisters (2024) and Jurassic World Rebirth (2025). He has also directed feature films and documentaries such as Arachnophobia (1990), Alive (1993) and The Beach Boys (2024).

Marshall has received five Academy Award nominations for Best Picture. His other honours include the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the David O. Selznick Achievement Award, Grammy Awards, a Sports Emmy Award and a Tony Award.
